As some of my regular readers already know, my iPhone went down a drain a few weeks ago. Still living without one!

I did alot of research on how to dry out your iPhone so thought i would write a post for future readers so the info is in one place.

What do you do when your iPhone has landed in a puddle or dropped down a toilet?

1. Turn it off! I know its tempting but dont turn on your iPhone, you will only damage it more!

2. Open it up. Yes this will void your warranty, but your warranty is already void as the little white stickers inside your iPhone will have already went pink, showing water damage. How to open up an iPhone correctly

3. Put it in a bag of rice - Get a sealable bag or container and put your iphone in, then fill it up with rice. Why do this? Rice absorbs water, so it should absorb any water that is still in your water damaged iPhone.

4. Put the bag with your iPhone and rice in, in a warm place and leave for at least a week.

5. Put the iPhone back together. Hopefully it will turn on and all will be working :)

I know this has worked for a lot of people! It didnt work for me, but that is because my iPhone was down a drain full of dirty smelly water for atleast 20 minutes.

If the above fails then just try and get a free iPhone from freebie jeebies.
